I know my photos aren’t always the best for showing detail {a resolution I’m hoping to work on in the New Year}, so I thought I would point out that I am in fact wearing jeans. Jeans are a bit of a rarity on the blog since I focus on what I wear to work, but I promise they are a staple of my closet. But guess what? It is a work day and I am in fact wearing jeans! Today is one of the few days where the dress code is a bit lax. And by lax I mean no one is here, so I’m making up my own dress code. Shh, don’t tell my boss.

It’s a bit dreary here in Kentucky today, so I thought I would jazz up my outfit with a bit of sparkle. Sparkle and a lot of coffee. I’m feeling pretty tired today and I’m going to need my energy for tomorrow night’s festivities. So on that note, I’m off to Starbucks. Time for a refill.

  1. I adore your plaid shirt and I have an awful time with button ups as well, due to a busty chest. I have been eyeing it on j crew as well but all of the sales are final... That worries me. If you don't mind me asking..what size did you get?

  3. We never get to see you in jeans, so this is a little exciting! This is a great "jeans for the office" look - it's still so put together. Very cute!

  4. Thanks! I don't mind at all. This is a size 10...depending on the store and cute I'm anywhere between an 8-12...most of the time. This is definitely cut a bit big, so I would size down if your debating.

  8. I love those days where I weat jeans to work. That top is adorable, I love the blue and white checkered print. I have a shirt very similar, but I haven't been able to make it look non-farmer yet! You make it looks so chic, I will be stealing this outfit in the near future!

  12. I love those shoes with the jeans!! I'm a jeans girl too, and a grown-up, so when I started grad school this year I MADE myself promise to only wear jeans no more than once a week to school. And I actually love it! It makes me utilize the rest of my wardrobe more creatively. But I always love the jeans days when they happen!!
