{Top & Belt: Anthro, Skirt: J Crew, Boots: Steve Madden}
For today’s experiment I bring you Liz’s first adventure with a tripod. A tripod and snow. I suppose the “and snow” part is quite obvious because, well, there’s snow on the ground. But I felt the need to reiterate it because my fingers were so numb that I was certain I had lost all ability to type {a blogger’s worse nightmare?}. Now that my digits are working correctly {thank god} I’m able to share with you my first “hey look at me, I’m using a tripod” photo. It’s taken me about a week to figure this gadget out {don’t laugh}, not to mention muster up the courage to drag it outside to the park. But I only live in this park for the next month so I better get some outfit shots out of it, right?
This outfit actually came out better than I expected. It’s slightly 70s and I love it. I joked with Suze the other day that I felt like this outfit was something she would wear {Suze am I right?}.
The pictures came out really nice (note to self: I must buy a tripod!). I feel so bad at saying this, but honestly I never realized that your bottom layer is a darker shade and in the second picture it came out so good! You've got gorgeous hair. Great outfit as well :) x
ReplyDeleteUm .. I meant your hair's bottom layer lol!
ReplyDeletelove the look. The 70's vibe is in so make the most of it :) . Nice one for dragging your tripod to the park in the snow, its more than I would do!

This outfit is SO CUTE! It is slightly 70's but that is a decade I lived and loved! Great job with the tripod... I am buying one ASAP as I think it really does make better pics! And I love the "ombre" hair... so pretty! Cheers! xoxo\

Lovely outfit! I just love that skirt! Also great first try with the tripod! Nicely done!! Am looking forward to more posts like this.
ReplyDeletesuch great pictures! way to go outside liz! are you using a remote or a self-timer? Ps. when I come back home, if that skirt goes missing... it's because I stole it. oh and the top too... come to think of it.
ReplyDeleteTripod pics turned out really great! The flowey blouse paired with the mustard skirt looks really pretty! Believe me, you eventually get used to posing with a tripod, and it becomes second nature. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing...
ReplyDeleteI love the tripod pictures, and that outfit!
ReplyDeletelove! That top is so pretty and i have that same skirt in that same color and am infatuated with it. I keep hoping it will go on sale on jcrew.com so I can get it in another color! And it looks like you did marvelously with your tripod! It becomes second nature eventually.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love everything about this outfit. It is absolutely gorgeous on you, loving the colour combos. AND what a great job on the pictures ...I love, love them! Yay, for venturing outside with the tripod. Have a fantastic weekend. xx veronika
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your yellow skirt! And your shoes. Aaand your tights. I mean your closet.

These pictures are beautiful plus you look great! Keep up the good work with the tripod! I've used mine twice outdoors and still haven't gotten hang of it completely.
ReplyDeletegah, you are adorable. your smile brightens my day.
ReplyDeletealso, am i the only blogger who doesn't own that awesome skirt? i'm jealous anytime someone wears it :)
this outfit looks so retro. so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the modern '70s vibe of this outfit! Love everything about it. And I'm also jealous that you've mastered your tripod & worked up the bravery to go outside. I'm still working on both of those counts. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel I keep seeing this skirt on so many bloggers, I so love the color!

Yippie, outside and adventurous Liz. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOhh, Tripod in the Park Liz, you are an inspiration! I have to say I have it easy living in a pretty temperate climate. If I go outside and start to lose feeling in my fingers, I'm done, it's over. But so glad you're braver than me, because these slightly 70s photos are so dreamy!!
ReplyDeleteLIZ!~ These are great and I really think it takes your blog up like a bajillion notches. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I have to take tripod pictures too. Except my tripod is about 6 inches tall so I have to find things at eye-ish level to prop it up on, very difficult. And slightly awkward.
ReplyDelete- Monica, newest follower :)
PS I LOVE anything mustard yellow, so I'll definitely keep checking back to see how you remix that adorable skirt.
I really like this top with the skirt. And congrats on mastering the tripod! Your outdoor pictures look great :)

ReplyDeletePictures look awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteUm, yes. I think I own this outfit, or at least I will once the pieces disapper from your closet... :)
ReplyDeleteWe look [almost] like twins!!
Yay tripod! I've been using mine for the first time this week, too. And you didn't even fall in the snow...I might have...oops...awkward...
ReplyDeleteAdore the yellow skirt, especially with the camel leather accessories.
Love this shade of yellow on you!
ReplyDeleteI cannot master a tripod. Too difficult. It is much easier to just make one of my friends follow me round with a camera, at excessive cost. xxx
Love this look!

ReplyDeleteI love the 70's vibe! The top is so pretty--I love the drapey sleeves. And lest I forget, that skirt is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe tripod is definitely something to get used to--and to be honest I'm still not completely comfortable dragging it all over creation. Your shots are great!
Love this outfit. Really I am in love with your skirt. Is that weird? Also thinking I need to venture outside for outfit photo sessions. Indoor lighting is blah!
