Things are bound to be a bit dotty today. In fact, I think I'll make dotty my go to saying for the day. In lieu of using the word crazy let's just go with dotty, okay?
You may remember this top from my 30 for 30. It's my lone polka dot piece so I hope you don't mind me re-wearing it so quickly {if you do just close your eyes, okay?}. You know, I could have sworn I had more polka dots in my closet. But it turns out I just have a lot of shirts with circles, not dots, certainly not polka dots. Seeing as I'm still navigating between heaping piles and containers of clothes I opted to go with simple black. I've been wearing more color lately so it was refreshing to do something a bit different. Sure it's not the most creative choice, but it's simple and classic. I figure it at least gives the allusion that I am not going dotty on the inside. Here's to having my life a little bit more organized tomorrow.
If you need more dots head over to Everybody, Everywear and prepared to be inspired.
I'm really loving all these polka dots this morning! You look gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI really love polka dots, don't know why I don't own anything with polka dots :( Too bad, I really wanted to participate! x

Great blouse! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like this look, basic but put together well. I scoured my closet for some polka dots today and am sad to report I own none! I was sure there was something with polka dots hanging out in the back of my closet, but I was wrong. I know what I'll be looking for next shopping day.
ReplyDeleteAdorable outfit. As someone already said, basics, but very well put together and with just the perfect amount of flair and spunk with that shirt.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I see those Twilight books on your bookshelf, and excellent taste in TV shows. Lost, OC and Mad Men? I approve.

Man, I wanted a shirt like this to magically appear in my closet so I could wear something like this. Alas. I will just live through you!
ReplyDeleteThat top is so cute! I hear you on the crazy week. At least I've gotten the "coming down with bronchitis" part of it mostly out of the way. Here's hoping it only gets better.
ReplyDeleteLove that top. It is a cute touch of dots for your classic outfit. You look great!
ReplyDeleteI just love the ruffles on this polka dot top. If there were ever a polka dot blouse to own, this is the one. It looks fantastic with the black, I support your decision to skip the colour.

ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I like this one too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Erica! The kitchen area is by far the most put together. My bedroom on the other hand - still a disaster.
ReplyDeleteMoving is such a pain! Hopefully I won't be doing it again for quite a long time.
ReplyDeleteNo polka dots? Bummer. Maybe you'll have next month's item - whatever that is!
ReplyDeleteHa! Good eye Kate! And of course thanks for your approval ;)
ReplyDeleteThis shirt may have magical powers. Maybe the kinda that could ship itself for a swap?
ReplyDeleteWe definitely both are on the neutrals wave length! I love this.
ReplyDeleteI think the all-black is refreshing actually. Maybe that makes me morbid or something I don't know, but it IS a super chic combo that gets passed over all too often. Lovely, lady. I mean Dotty.
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable! How ARE you just finding me? And how am I just finding YOU? :) Thank you for your shiny little comment at my silly blog. And I love how genuinely happy you look in each of your 30 for 30 pictures. adorbs.

ReplyDeleteannnnd...yuck on packing/unpacking. there's always that box (or, in my case, 18 boxes) that you don't want to pack because it's a bunch of miscellaneous junk...and you don't want to UNpack them for the same reason, either. good luck with everything in all your dottiness. :)

Your blouse is so cute peeking out of your cardi!
ReplyDeleteSimple, classic, and lovely! Good luck with packing/unpacking- it looks like you've made a great start! I kinda feel like I just never want to move ever again now, but I think that just means I should get rid of more stuff.
