{Dress & Necklace: Express, Belt: NY&Co., Tights: Gap, Boots: Steve Madden}
I don’t believe I gave a proper introduction to my new indoor photo spot. Yep this is my new apartment! Or more precisely my new kitchen. Apologies to my new kitchen for forgetting to mention her debut on Polka Dot day. Some of you commented on my DVD and book collection behind me so I am just going to come out with it. Yes, those are the Twilight Books. Yep. Twilight fan right here. I know, I know. I really need to get my Harry Potter hardback books in there so they can get some attention too. Oh and hey, that is the entire series of LOST. Just call me Lostie Liz. I love me some Jack Shephard. Now if only I could shipwreck on a crazy, not deserted island with a handsome, critically flawed man, THEN my life would be perfect. Actually, perfection would be we if also had a camera and said flawed doctor also had a photography hobby. THEN THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.
But back to the style portion of this blog. If you’ve been reading for a bit this outfit may seem familiar. It’s almost exactly like an outfit from the previous 30 for 30. This belt is new so I know that’s different, but everything else is close to the same. But this is what I'm wearing. And being that this is a blog about what I wear, here you go. I was talking with Betsy today about how having my entire closet at my disposal throws me for a loop. I am sure it doesn’t help that my closet is organized completely different and my clothes are scattered from room to room. For the record I have shoes in kitchen cabinets.
Glad to hear that you're all moved in! Also, I'm a huge fan of Twilight as well. What can I say, we have good taste?!
ReplyDeletelove the outfit especially the matching tan belt and boots :) your new apartment looks great!

Give us a tour of the new place! I just moved into a condo with a roommate and we could use inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI like it. But.... you need more light! MORE LIGHT!
ReplyDeleteyes this is happening to me too! i've been done with the 30 for 30 since SATURDAY and yet each day i pick out an outfit from those 30 pieces ha liek you said i may just be overwhelmed with my ENTIRE closet. oh and LOVE me some lost girl!

The Paris ornament looks lovely. You look gorgeous! And the waist belt is really cute. Lol.. you have to be careful not to use your shoes when cooking then :) x
ReplyDeletehaha, how funny that you have shoes in your kitchen cabinets! my shoes are probably the worst organized part of my closet but i hadn't though about using kitchen cabinets yet! lol
ReplyDeletecute and little
I like the purple with the cognac colored belt and shoes! I used to have a similar dress and used to wear it similarly and now I'm not sure why I gave it away when I cleaned out my closet. Shucks. Heck, I'll live vicariously through you!

Great outfit. The color of that dress is beautiful. Oh, and I'm more of a Sawyer girl, myself... although Jack is an extremely close second ;)
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great look, well worth revisiting :) the shade of the dress is beautifully offset by the cognac belt and boots. I always wonder if I should share outfits that are too close to ones I've worn before.
ReplyDeleteAnother fan of the Twilight books here! Love that belt.
ReplyDeleteHP!!!! is it weird that i always feel so much closer to a person when i find out they share the same nerd-tendencies as me??
ReplyDeleteLove your new apartment and I love your outfit. You look adorable.

Entire Lost series - amazing! How could anyone judge that! Love those booties!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm not the only one blogging from my kitchen! Love the belt and shoes combo here, too.
ReplyDeleteYou are HILARIOUS, Liz. Lol, a doctor with a photography hobby. Don't we all wish it was so?? :)

New Apt looks great! For some reason something about this really makes me notice out fantastic those boots are. I know you've worn them a lot, but I really fell in love with them today! :)

Hello there kitchen, so lovely to meet ya! Looking good in that kitchen with all that handsome Losties next to you and I adore that outfit, it should come around more often as well!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new apartment! I know it was probably a lot of work, but such a big, wonderful step! :)
ReplyDeleteShoes in kitchen cabinets? Now you can coordinate your shoes with what you eat!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit may be similar to something you have already worn, but it looks damn comfortable and cute, and that is all that matters.
Well I am sure others would say differently, but let's go with good taste!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sophie! I am really happy with how it's turned out :)
ReplyDeleteJessi! It's on my to-do list. Still need to get a few things hung up (and a few others put away) but I promise to do one soon.
ReplyDeleteYeah, overwhelmed is a bit of understatement for me. But I am sure I will get the hang of it. I better, right?
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen and living room have lots of Paris/European decorations. I'm slightly obsessed.
ReplyDeleteI have SO many cabinets and very little kitchen stuff so I thought it just made sense!
ReplyDeleteOh I love Sawyer too - especially as the show progressed. It's so hard to have just 1 favorite! Desmond is a fav too! But Jack was my first love ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know I feel like there is stigma not show something that's similar (or maybe that's just in my head) but it's what I wore so why not post it?
ReplyDeleteNo not at all! I'm actually quite the HP fanatic. It's weird that they aren't on my bookcase. Probably beacuse I was scared to pack them and lose them in the transition. How is that for nerdy?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing! I just started watching some old seasons since I don't have cable yet. I'm falling in love all over again!
ReplyDeleteWe're kitchen buddies!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimmie! But seriously, do you know a doctor who could also double a style blogger's photographer? I should just put an ad out, shouldn't I?
ReplyDeleteThanks Veronika! The apartment is still a work in progress but the kitchen is definitely coming together nicely!
ReplyDeleteOMG Liz I feel so close to you right now with the LOST talk. Ahhh, Jack. I have been rewatching season 6 in ten minute increments while I eat dinner. My life's not sad.
ReplyDeleteHI NEW KITCHEN!
Haha shoes in the cabinets...
ReplyDeleteI love your new place! It looks great. Glad to hear you're all settled in.
