{Top & Cardigan: LOFT, Skirt: J Crew, Belt: H&M, Necklace: c/o Linley Shea, Shoes: Bandolino}
So much for planning. I meant to wear and post this outfit yesterday {obviously that didn't happen}. But I was abruptly woken up {twice no less} by the severe weather siren. You know had there actually been severe weather I would have
What I am trying to say is that instead of wearing this yesterday, I opted to get an extra 45 minutes of sleep, skipped washing my hair and threw on something I wore before. See the reason I was/am excited for this outfit is because I wanted to show off this necklace. I mean how cute is it {answer: way cute}? My friend Linley sent it to me. And if you have a little extra time on your hands, be sure to check out her Etsy Store for more adorable stuff.
jcrew. enough said. their skirts are the b.e.s.t. lovely outfit :) xoxo

LOVE the colors you paired this necklace with Liz! It seriously looks so pretty with this outfit - great job! That sherbet color is amazing. I think I need it.
ReplyDeleteI love the coloring... and the necklace! Great combo! I'm doing a lot of switching planned outfit days here lately too.. silly weather.
ReplyDeleteHi! I just dropped by (sort of randomly).... but I have to say - love your style! In fact, I think I just had to wipe a little drool off my keyboard from scrolling around and looking at all of the pencil skirts you wear! Pencil skirts are my fave! And I love the bookcase you pose next too - I'll add it to my dream list. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! Looking forward to reading and seeing more!

K my mouth made a super awkward sudden laughing sound at "answer: way cute." But it is adorable and I especially love it with your peachy mustard colors! Seriously I thought everyone had already done every possible color combo in the book, but this is an original for me. And how could I not love it (trick question: I could not NOT love it)?!
ReplyDeleteThe turquoise with the mustard is such an unexpectedly beautiful color combo!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I am right there with you on the jcrew skirt bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ang! I swear there must be a siren in Hyde Park Square cause I've never heard a siren that freakin' loud!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! Also thanks for figuring out what color this shirt is. I was kinda torn between orange and cantaloupe...I think sherbet is best.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you! I do have a think for pencil skirts, it's a sickness actually :)
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny! Glad to have another Cincinnatian around here!
ReplyDeleteIf you could see me right now I'm patting myself on the back. Monk is giving me credit for a new color combo. Dont.Mind.If.I.Do.
ReplyDeleteThis always happens to me when I try to plan out my outfits in advance! Something happens and I end up really bummed. I find I have much better luck just going with the flow in the morning and picking what fits my mood (and how much time I have!). That said, it's a very cute outfit, so I'm glad you got to wear it! That skirt is a great unexpected color.
ReplyDeleteI love the vibrant JCrew skirts with the rich wool; you've pushed me from a JCrew skirt admirer to a very likely future buyer! Great outfits!

Wow, I love all these colors together! You always do such a great job in that area. And again, you always look so put together. It fascinates me how you manage to do it every day. I always feel like a hot mess.
ReplyDeleteLiz you look like you stepped right out of the pages of J.Crew! That color combo is inspired and I love how the blues pop off the yellows and oranges! So, so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been eyeing Linley's store - love the turquoise necklace :)
