{Top: J Crew, Pants: Express, Shoes: Bandolino, Necklace: LOFT}
Lately, I've been seeing lots of other bloggy friends tie their shirts. It's kind of like the less serious version of tucking in your shirt AND I'm all for less serious so I knew I wanted to give this trend a try. Throw in my trusty J Crew button up and some wide leg black pants and I was good to go. Actually, add in the colorful necklace and then I was good to go. In hindsight, I probably should have thrown on a cardigan since it's still feeling like the artic around here. And speaking of things I should have done, I probably, no definitely, should have worn socks with my shoes. But no, I refused. And thus found myself tip-toeing around all morning trying to avoid the snow on the ground. Just call me stubborn.
You pulled off the tie shirt look perfectly! I shall have to try it soon. :D

Love the tied shirt on you! Somehow I always end up looking like a wannabe country singer. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm not wearing socks either. Weather be darned. ;)
Love the necklace with that top! You look spectacular! :)
ReplyDeleteI am being stubborn about the weather too and keep leaving in short sleeves with no jacket - not really ready for 40 degrees.... woops!
I keep on wearing flats too even though there is still snow where I live. Great outfit btw, you always give me such good inspiration for work outfits!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you have convinced me that I really need to buy a gingham shirt!

i totally dig your less serious version!
ReplyDeleteWell stubborn or not, you look adorable. I tie my shirts from time to time too. It looks much more playful than tucking!
ReplyDeleteI used to avoid the tying of shirts because it reminded me of the 90s and Kimmy Gibbler from Full House too much. Then I tried it, and I love it. Plus if it gets a little off, retying and fixing it up is a lot easier than completely un-tucking a shirt and re-tucking it. Anyways, enough rambling.
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic, as always. Have a fantastic weekend and good luck with all the GMAT studying that you will be doing! Do take some time to relax a little bit?

I love the color combo of the necklace with the gingham shirt, I would have made the shoe mistake as well... I don't believe in the commuter shoe or at least that's what I keep telling myself ;)
ReplyDeleteI really need a more casual button up like that!! So cute!
