Did I mention I met Suze this weekend? Oh right, I did and now I won’t shut up about it. So yeah that happened and it was loads of fun! On top of all of the rambling, eating and shopping {of course} there was a bit of clothes swapping. This is my first swap experience {unless you consider borrowing my sister’s clothes regularly} and I have to say – I’M HOOKED! Half way through our shopping excursion Suze and I were already calling dibs on the items we purchased during the day. But let's talk about this skirt shall we? I wear my fair share of skirts, but I don't think I've sported anything quite like this pattern midi beauty. I'm hoping to get at least one more wear out if it before {reluctantly} returning it. Ideas, anyone?

  1.  I'm never going to get that skirt back, am I? :)
I always paired it with black or white. Pair it with some random color or another pattern.
    Love it on you!!

  5. This is so beautiful! I've seen it on Suze and I love your interpretation too! As for ideas, you could go for simple colors to let the skirt shine, like white or grey, or brighten up and contrast it with light pink or purple! A light teal would look so prettyyyy. Wish I could swap it too and have my turn! Haha.

  8.  That skirt is fantastic and I love how you paired it with stripes. So bold yet it goes together so well! I'm afraid if I started swapping clothes I'd never, ever want to give them back. And, also, no one wants to swap with me quite yet, haha. The possibilities seem endless with that skirt. You could go for a 50s vibe or try to mod it up with dark, simple other pieces. (:

  9. Beautiful skirt!  How lucky you were to borrow it.  The midi looks good on you and I like the patterns together.  I don't know how else to style it, but for some reason it makes me want to wear a bright blue with it.

  11. I never would have thought to pair the stripes with that gorgeous skirt, but I love it! If you want to really go crazy with color, I guess you could pair a bright pink or turquoise top with it?  My sis & I share clothes all the time, but I've never officially "swapped" clothes either. Have fun with it!

  12. No worries I will give it back! Now I'm not so sure my sister will want me to give back the Anthro corset...she tried to steal it from my apartment last night {it's under lock and key now}!

This skirt definitely looks amazing on you! Maybe you could bargain on a lifelong swap with her :) Definitely like the pattern mixing! I am always a bit worried about too many patterns, but it definitely helps to see it on others. I will have to get my courage up!

  18.  I have this same Anthro skirt. I'm a little bit obsessed with it though I rarely wear it. I feel like I am perpetually saving it for something! Haha

  19. I love the boldness of stripes mixed with a strong pattern. I keep trying to come up with a similar combination and it just doesn't work for me. You look fantastic!

  21. I would love to rock the midi skirt trend but I'm not sure how I would look in them. Hmmm......I guess you will have to be one of my inspirations for trying out this look!

  25. Love it! I just got a blue skirt with stripes from the thrift store. I think this would be super cute casual too with some sandals and a tank.

  27. I love the skirt.  I tried it on in the store way back when, and just couldn't make it work, but it looks great on you.  I could see it with a button up shirt (white or chambray) sleeves rolled up, chunky necklace, brown belt,  and wedge sandals.  There you go!  Your next outfit.

  30. So cute! It would look nice with a simple, worn-in v-neck tee too! You could do a bright blue or another cool color to contrast with the warm yellow. Love it!
