{Top: Target, Skirt: Swapped with Suze, Belt: J Crew, Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: Macys}
Did I mention I met Suze this weekend? Oh right, I did and now I won’t shut up about it. So yeah that happened and it was loads of fun! On top of all of the rambling, eating and shopping {of course} there was a bit of clothes swapping. This is my first swap experience {unless you consider borrowing my sister’s clothes regularly} and I have to say – I’M HOOKED! Half way through our shopping excursion Suze and I were already calling dibs on the items we purchased during the day. But let's talk about this skirt shall we? I wear my fair share of skirts, but I don't think I've sported anything quite like this pattern midi beauty. I'm hoping to get at least one more wear out if it before {reluctantly} returning it. Ideas, anyone?
I'm never going to get that skirt back, am I? :)
ReplyDeleteI always paired it with black or white. Pair it with some random color or another pattern.
Love it on you!!
OMG this skirt is SO adorable!!!!! You look too cute in it. LOVE it with that shirt. A+++++ today, Liz!
ReplyDeleteHappy First Swap! We have a directory of swap events, maybe there is one in your area: http://events.swap.com
ReplyDeleteI love the swap. that skirt is dreamy! The length of the skirt and the nude shoes have combined forces to make you look super duper tall!! :)

This is so beautiful! I've seen it on Suze and I love your interpretation too! As for ideas, you could go for simple colors to let the skirt shine, like white or grey, or brighten up and contrast it with light pink or purple! A light teal would look so prettyyyy. Wish I could swap it too and have my turn! Haha.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt! How about you send it to me next? Just kidding. Maybe. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!! throw a cardi over it, belt, and voila! Instant 50's!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is fantastic and I love how you paired it with stripes. So bold yet it goes together so well! I'm afraid if I started swapping clothes I'd never, ever want to give them back. And, also, no one wants to swap with me quite yet, haha. The possibilities seem endless with that skirt. You could go for a 50s vibe or try to mod it up with dark, simple other pieces. (:
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skirt! How lucky you were to borrow it. The midi looks good on you and I like the patterns together. I don't know how else to style it, but for some reason it makes me want to wear a bright blue with it.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of stripes with the diamond pattern! You look so lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to pair the stripes with that gorgeous skirt, but I love it! If you want to really go crazy with color, I guess you could pair a bright pink or turquoise top with it? My sis & I share clothes all the time, but I've never officially "swapped" clothes either. Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteNo worries I will give it back! Now I'm not so sure my sister will want me to give back the Anthro corset...she tried to steal it from my apartment last night {it's under lock and key now}!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ang! Love your idea about the big belt and button up!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I look tall? Maybe I should find a midi skirt of my own!
ReplyDeletehaha you're totally not kidding Kels! Maybe you can be the next lucky recipient!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and what a great switch. That skirt looks great with your stripe blouse! Super cute outfit!!
ReplyDeleteEeee!! Love the skirt!
ReplyDeleteThis skirt definitely looks amazing on you! Maybe you could bargain on a lifelong swap with her :) Definitely like the pattern mixing! I am always a bit worried about too many patterns, but it definitely helps to see it on others. I will have to get my courage up!
ReplyDeleteI have this same Anthro skirt. I'm a little bit obsessed with it though I rarely wear it. I feel like I am perpetually saving it for something! Haha
ReplyDeleteI love the boldness of stripes mixed with a strong pattern. I keep trying to come up with a similar combination and it just doesn't work for me. You look fantastic!

I love the silhouette that a full skirt creates on you! This is absolutely great, and I love the pattern mixing!
ReplyDeleteI would love to rock the midi skirt trend but I'm not sure how I would look in them. Hmmm......I guess you will have to be one of my inspirations for trying out this look!
ReplyDeleteYet another skirt I contemplated buying but waited too long... ugh! Love how you paired it with stripes.
ReplyDeleteI love this skirt! I wish there were some bloggers near me that I could meet up with. Maybe I should move further North.
ReplyDeleteLove this skirt, the length is perfect on you! <3 <3 <3

Love it! I just got a blue skirt with stripes from the thrift store. I think this would be super cute casual too with some sandals and a tank.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to meet Suze for the first time in two weeks, and I can't wait! I love that skirt on her, and you look amazing in it too!! Swapping rules.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt. I tried it on in the store way back when, and just couldn't make it work, but it looks great on you. I could see it with a button up shirt (white or chambray) sleeves rolled up, chunky necklace, brown belt, and wedge sandals. There you go! Your next outfit.
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!!
ReplyDeleteA Candid Life
LOVE the pattern mixing of the stripes and this skirt. This outfit is simply adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is sooo lovely and it looks pretty much perfect on you
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It would look nice with a simple, worn-in v-neck tee too! You could do a bright blue or another cool color to contrast with the warm yellow. Love it!
