As a thrifting novice, I seriously lucked out finding this Anthropologie skirt with the tags still attached. I practically ran to the register to check out {and I may have even tipped the cashier}. But this was almost two months ago and haven't worn it until today. This skirt has posed a bit of style dilemma for me. I think it's the color that throws me off a bit {I've dubbed it periwinkle}. Sure navy and white would look good with this - but what else?

I ended up going with my first thought - a navy tee. Then I remembered these earrings! They are in transit to a friend of mine {I'm the courier between friends} so I borrowed them but ssshhh don't tell.

  1. Lucky find! I love it. What thrift store did you find this little gem?  Hmmmm...I wonder if a mustard yellow top would look cute with it?  Or maybe coral.   I'm curious to see everyone else's ideas :)

  3. You could even try a nice grass green as a shirt (or ellow as the ladies below me stated). It would really make the colors in your outfit pop and then throw on white shelled earrings and cute camel colored sandals(?) I can't believe you thrifted an Anthro skirt. You SUPER scored! Go you!

  4. Nice! I've found pieces with tags still on at thrift stores but wow, an Anthropologie skirt! The thrift Gods did shine on you, hah. I'd probably pair it with something soft pink in colour, or lavender, and if florals are involved, even better!

  9. I just posted today about how difficult it is to thrift Anthropologie, and you have to go and make it look easy.  I guess this answers my question, it is possible to find Anthro at a thrift store.  Great find by the way.  What about pairing your skirt with a mustardy yellow?

Hi there! I found you from Jane Has A Job and after reading your About Me, I have to say that I loooove this blog concept. I too have a hard time balancing cute work-ready outfits, with my real-world Ashley-style. Looking at how you pair things together and WHAT you pair together really helps!

  24. Love the skirt -- great find! I bet you could wear all sorts of colors with it. Coral, pink, yellow, red maybe? You could also try belting a cardigan over it (once it gets cooler again, of course). =) It's super cute!
