It’s a good day when the park is completely deserted. I can get in and out with outfit photos in no time. Other days, it’s like walking a tight rope. I walk around. Pretend I’m taking landscape shots. Pretty much I try to avoid being caught at all costs. Being a park, I suppose there are the usual sounds you hear. Trees blowing in the wind. Teeny tiny lizards scurrying around the sidewalk. Park workers on riding lawn movers. But on this particular day I heard something else as I was snapping photos. Apparently it startled me and I thought I was caught. Turns out it was just a figment of my imagination. But it did result in this lovely photo.

  6. Haha, I always pull the "Oh me?  I'm just photographing this wall, pay no mind!" when someone walks by.  How do you explain fashion blogging to a stranger??

  9. LOL Your photo-taking technique is the same as mine. I'm always trying to get it done before anyone notices. I think a lot of us fashion bloggers, especially those of us without a willing photographer, are always trying to be discreet. We probably look pretty silly. Oh well! - Katy

  12. I don't understand this fear of "being caught" taking pictures of yourself.   If someone does ask you just tell them you do a picture a day of what you were for a blog.  There's nothing embarrassing or shameful about it.   In fact, just the initial concept is the basis for this blog - that you love what you wear and you love sharing your fashion, why would you NOT want to catalogue it?  I mean, you already are?   Doing these things in fear, as they are, if anything is stunting the quality and artistic options of the photos being taken.   You're not ashamed/embarrassed of yourself HERE why be out THERE?

  13. It really is awkward! Even when I am alone it is awkward, ha! I guess I am just not comfortable striking a pose yet. ;)

  19. This dress is wicked pretty. And I actually really like this last picture, where you got caught off-guard. It looks a little more natural.

  20. Oh I like your hair! I am just no good at braiding my hair in any way except pig-tails, which is horribly frustrating now that I am not 12.

  21. I wasn't very good at it either so I wore it messy and crazy until my fingers finally figured out what they were doing. Now it's all good.

  22. I probably scare people more moving around trying to look normal than I do just posing for pictures!

  23. I know, right? Either way I probably look just as odd posing as a landscape photographer.

  24. HAHAhaha! I always run into the same problems. Half my pictures I'm looking over my shoulder at some random noises, or smiling awkwardly at passerbys giving me weird looks.

Sucks that the weather is getting nice and it's so difficult to find parts of the park without people. :(
