I spent a whooping 12 hours at the movies yesterday. Aside from seeing some fantastic films, I can add a sugar high and a diet coke induced head ache to my list of accomplishments. Perhaps I should also note how over dressed I was compared to my movie go-er counterparts. Apparently, I missed the memo that pjs and snuggies were the outfits of choice. But hey I have a 30 for 30 challenge to finish up. And if that means wearing my skinny jeans and eating myself to the sheer point of uncomfortable then so be it.

Side note, I think I've missed a remix recap somewhere {my bad}. If you're curious this is outfit #24 and all of my outfits are in the side to the right.

  4. I always feel awkward now if I go anywhere outside of my apartment in sweatpants... it just seems so wrong! Being better dressed is a good thing, especially with a style blog :)

  5. Whoa... 12 hours of movies? I don't think I could do it. I have motherhood induced ADD and cannot sit through more than an hour of a movie!

This is WAY cuter than a snuggie and exactly what I would have worn for such an occasion.

  6. loving this outfit! You look great in skinny jeans, you should wear them more often :)
I also think one should never waste a moment to dress up for. Even the 12 hour movie marathon. I would have done the same and you look quite comfortable in this outfit as well :)

  8. Being overdressed is my specialty, my friends always look so laid back and relaxed, 12 hours at the movies sounds like so much fun! ... Have never watched more than a movie at once, this sounds like a great idea for next weekend! Glad you had a nice weekend! xx

  9. Did you do the AMC Oscar movie marathon? I did the first weekend last week, but couldn't do it this weekend for the other 5 nominees. Fun times but hard on the posterior! :)

  10. Tell me you were watching all the nominated movies! That's what I wanted to do yesterday but alas, I was too lazy to go to Blockbuster. Now, that's a new form of lazy.

  11. 12 hours of movies? You must have been watching the Best Picture nominees! I am so jealous.

Also, your outfit is tres cute. Adore it.

  12. Is Kate right? Were you catching up on all of the Best Picture nominees? I"m also jealous! There are so many amazing films that I didn't see this year. What the heck is wrong with me? If it makes you feel any better, most days I feel overdressed, but cute outfits are worth it!

  13. wow, 12 hours, that's INSANE. At least you looked cute!

Did they have free popcorn refills? Those are my favorite. I'd probably be able to eat.. oh, maybe 8 tubs in 12 hours? :)

  14. Love this outfit...it is perfect for a day at the movies! I also overdose on sugar at the movies...I love candy so much and I figure a movie is the perfect excuse to eat as much of it as I want :)

  17. Thanks Linley! I feel like I rarely get to show outfits like this - which is kinda sad cause I love casual weekend outfits.

  18. I went to part 2 of the weekend, so I missed 5 movies. Between the two of us - looks like we saw them all!

  22. Oh really? The color photographs a bit weird. But it was the cardigan I wore when Erin picked out my outfit and I wore it another time with my yellow/pink scarf.

  28. Thanks! You know I really liked all of the movies, but I'm partial to Inception! I love Leo! But Winter's Bone was really good, as was the King's Speech. But then again, Black Swan and Social Network were awesome too. Hmmm, okay I think I listed them all now. So yeah.

  29. AMC movie theaters do an Oscar Marathon 2 weeks before the Oscars. Is there an AMC near you? I plan on going next year!
