{Top: Limited, Blazer: Target, Pants: Express, Belt: Kohl's, Bracelet: F21, Shoes: Bandolino}
Hello everyone! Let me introduce you to outside Liz. See her up there? Rockin' the shades. Taking in the fresh air. Enjoying the natural light. It's like a new person, right? That or maybe you've come to the conclusion that I have multiple personalities {you'd probably be right}. Speaking of multiple personalities, I think I forgot to mention that I have 2 twitter accounts. There's my everyday, rambling self (@lizurso) and then there is the straightforward blog self {@26_and_Counting). Pick your poison. Nonsense and typos vs. Bloggyness and typos. Or walk on the wild side and follow both of me.
But back to outside Liz {it's her debut after all}. These photos are courtesy of my little sister, Annie. She's great. She dragged me out of my bedroom all the way to the front porch {baby steps people}. Is it me, or do I look 12 in these pictures? It's like the sun magically zapped away all of my makeup. But on to the outfit shall we? Anytime you see this much black in my outfit it means 1 thing. I'm working at Job 2.0. Since black is the law of the land at Macys, I decided to add some yellow accessories. I also wore my sunglasses around all day so people wouldn't ask where the bathroom was located.
In all seriousness, I couldn't be more excited about this round of the 30 for 30 challenge and I hope you are too! As a girl with the occasional shopping problem {ahem, Anthro addiction. Ahem}, this challenge helps me put my life {namely my closet} in perspective. I'm not a creative person by nature. In fact, by nature I'm a creature of habit. Habit-inclined isn't bad, but for me, it led to recycling the same 10 outfits over and over again. As someone who loves rules and order - this challenge is a great way for me to focus and be creative. Looking back at the last 30 for 30 there are only a few predictable Liz outfits. A majority though were a direct result of digging deep and getting creative. Hey, maybe this time, I'll be just as lucky.
LOVE the outside pictures! You look great, certainly a fabulous way to kick off the 30 for 30. (I wimped out again and didn't sign up. I don't think I can survive this Chicago winter even if I wore all 30 items layered at once!) Happy Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteAlright! I think outside Liz looks GREAT! And no, you don't look like a pre-teen, haha. You do, however, make me jealous that I have never owned (and actually worn) a pair of sunglasses. Instant cool, at least on you! I'm so excited for this 30 for 30 also, mainly because it's my first round :)
ReplyDeleteoutside liz is so cute! of course, indoors liz is cute too, but your personality really shines through in these. happy 30 for 30!
ReplyDeleteAh-dorable! I'm so excited about this 30 for 30...it's my first!
ReplyDeleteI saw your door and thought, thats an amazing coloured door! But I love the pop of yellow in your outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI'm similar to you in that I'm a creature of habit and hope that this 30x30 (my first) helps me break out into new thinking and creativity.

love the new location, and the outfit! I <3 yellow accessories!
ReplyDeleteWow the photos look so much better and you look glowing! The yellow belt and bangle did a really nice effect on the outfit! x
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit, and it's great to see you outside! =) The yellow accessories are perfect. And I didn't notice that the sun washed away your makeup because your hair looks vibrant and AMAZING outside.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Cool shades!
Wow.
ReplyDeleteI mean, REALLY - WOW!!!!
You have NO IDEA what a difference the change of scenery in today's ootd post makes!!! I've been reading you blog for about 6+ mos. now, and it's not been until today that I feel like I've actually been able to really SEE the deatails in any of the outfits you blog for your readers. In fact, I don't typically take the time to read a fashion blog where the pics are dark and the details don't stand out, but I didn't want to give up on your blog yet because I really LOVE your corporate/workwear style. It's sad that I can rarely make out details in your pics, so I was pleasantly surprised with today's post. What a difference better lighting and a contrasting background makes!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your new location!!

Hello outside Liz! I love this look. The mustard accessories are fabulous and your blazer is so classically chic.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a flattering outfit! I love the pop of yellow.
ReplyDeleteI may have already left a comment on this outfit but I just love it so much! I love the pops of yellow (my favorite color) against the black. I am always hesitant to wear black and yellow together because I'm afraid of looking like a bumble bee (weird, I know). I think this blouse would be amazing paired with your yellow ochre pencil skirt (which I am coveting!)!! I don't mean for that to be oversharing or sound bossy, I just thought of it and had to share!!
