I’m feeling a little bit like Dorothy today {minus the red shoes…well minus the scarecrow, tin man and lion too. Okay minus A LOT of things} but I am most certainly not in Oz. As of late, the weather seems to be receiving just as much attention as my clothes around here. I’m sure it’s just as cold where you are {and if not, I kinda hate you right now}, but 8 degrees is just a little out of my comfort zone for outside pictures. But hey, I’m trying to change things up around here so today you get to see me in my living room {I can't help it, living room Liz?!}. Since my roommate and I are in the process of moving there really isn’t much of a back drop besides this little cube-thing-a-ma-jigger. But hey at least I moved the red dolly and dirty suitcase out of the way {I try to do my best for you guys}.
Today is part two of Suze’s Paperdoll Project. Yesterday's outfit was all Erin and today’s ensemble is courtesy of Suze. Suze is an expert at unexpected and fun layering {and a great e-mail buddy} and I think she captures those qualities perfectly with this outfit. You know, I don't think this is something that I would have come up with on my own. And that's kinda what I love about it.
Love the layering!! But how in the world do you EVER wear a dress/skirt in 8 degree weather??? I'm in Florida and anything below 30 would have me wanting to stay bundled up in my sweats!!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit!!

Cute outfit! It is a bit Dorothy-esk, but it looks great. I have boots similar to yours, but mine are kind of piratey looking (if that's even a word!). I have to say for moving, your bookshelf looks amazing. I don't blame you for not wanting to take photos in 8 degrees! That's arctic.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite remix look yet. Very cute! Suze did a great job of dressing you. Well at least pickinlg out your clothes.
ReplyDeleteAh! You DO look like Dorothy. But I like it! I do like layering weird things together. I guess that could be my calling card? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute. I never would have though to layer a button-down under that dress, but it looks great.

That is some serious adorable, Liz!! I really need to get some more royal blue items and definitely need to grab a gingham shirt. I consider it a glaring hole in my wardrobe at the moment. Love the outfit, lady!
ReplyDeleteMy kingdom for a gingham shirt! You girls are looking adorable with this project!
ReplyDeleteWell I had to get dressed for work, otherwise I'd be right there with you in sweats.
ReplyDeletePirate-y is most certainly a word. I know the look you're talking about!
ReplyDeleteSuper stylisyt Suze, that's what I call her :)
ReplyDeleteOR Super Stylist Suze. I just came up with that!
ReplyDeleteSuze is a genius! I love the shirt under the dress. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love how she layered the gingham shirt under the dress! I never would have thought of that!
ReplyDeleteLove it! And I agree that it's very "Suze"!
ReplyDeleteI love this entire outfit, you look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think your guys' paperdoll idea is GENIUS. How fun! And yeah I think the grey slouchies and wide belt negate any Dorothyness :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! This paperdoll thing is working out wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteThis paper doll project was a really cute idea. I didn't get to visit Suze's blog yet (because hers is blocked for some reason at my office), but I will later! I like this outfit and the one from yesterday. And I REALLY love your hair in these photos. It looks super cute. =) Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! It totally deserves red shoes, though... and a lion and a tin man and a scarecrow. ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty outfit! Great choice for you by Suze!! I especially like that dress :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I just played "I spy" with your cube-thingy - found the Twilight Saga books (at least I spy books 2-4). Great choice! And love all the things from different cities!

ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty cool idea. So much so, that I'm kind wanting to do more! So what do you say Monk, wanna pick an outfit out for each other?
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! It's been fun - and I love that Erin and Suze came up with 2 things I hadn't even thought of.
ReplyDeleteHa, you're good Anja! Yes those are a few Twilight books. Too bad you couldn't see my complete Harry Potter set...I think I was standing in front of those.
ReplyDeletethank you thank you :)
ReplyDeleteWow, great combo with the check shirt and dress. Nicely done! I very much enjoy being a new follower, U R 2 cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the checked shirt beneath the dress, but that wide belt really brings the whole outfit together. Those slouchy boots are also perfect with this look. I'm loving Living Room Liz!
ReplyDeletei love that belt!! cute outfit :)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I'm still working on my layering, I'm not that good at it, yet.
ReplyDeleteI don't want you to hate me, but it's 50 degrees here in Portland and sunny (not normal). If it makes you feel better it's going to start raining again this weekend.
GREAT BELT! New reader here, come meet me!
