{Top: LOFT, Cardigan: J Crew, Pants & Necklace: Express, Belt: Anthro, Shoes: Bandolino}
I'll be the first to tell you, most days I don't feel like an adult whatsoever. I may be 27 and have a good job, but I still kind of feel like a kid {for the record mac and cheese is still my favorite meal}. But all of this moving apartment business is forcing me to make grown up decisions.
In the past week, I've hired movers. Figured out where in the heck my meter box is located. Discontinued my utilities. Searched for furniture. Spent hours reading decorating sites and magazines. I even did the dishes the last night! It's like I'm living in some alternative universe where I am actually acting my age. Weird.
Being grown up is overrated anyways! I hope your move goes smoothly I'm totally jealous of your necklace!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I love those pants. And movers are worth their weight in gold. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like there aren't as high of expectations on our generation as there were on 20 somethings in the past, so to be in your mid 20's, seriously employed, and supporting yourself financially feels like "middle-aged." It's stressful, but it does get easier to make decisions...
ReplyDeletere: your ootd
I'm inspired to dupe this tomorrow, sans the tucked in shirt and belt - I'm not ready for that leap of faith yet, hehe. I can't tell - are you wearing heels or flats?
glad to know I'm not the only 27 yr old who doesn't feel like a grown up...
ReplyDeleteGrowing up is lame. Mortgage, equity, mutual fund, 401K? I'm not sure who thinks I'm old enough to have to concern myself with all of these things, but I think I'll just leave all of that up to my husband while I watch Parent Trap for the 239479 time.
ReplyDeleteI'm 31 & don't feel like an adult most days. I'm no so sure that is a bad thing though. Hold on to your youth as long as you can because when it is finally gone, it is really gone.I LOVE your outfit. That cardigan is absolutely beautiful. You look very grown up & stylish :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your move goes great. Its a pain, but it is also always a little exciting to get to have a fresh new place to nest! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI may be 24, married, holding a full time job, etc, but I am no grownup. When hubs has late shifts in the hospital, I eat popcorn for dinner. Every single time.
ReplyDeleteI'm married, I have a baby, and we're buying a house. AND THAT CANNOT POSSIBLY BE ME. Nope, not a grown up. Never!
ReplyDeleteLove the purple shirt--it's a lovely color against your hair.
This outfit is super grown-up in a nice classy but still a fun girl way. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate! Sigh, sometimes I think about it and can't believe I'm going to be 28 this year...how did that happen?! Good luck with the moving, hope we get to see some pictures of the new place and the decor!

your poses...are awkward.
ReplyDeleteI'm moving too! Packing up and downsizing has been a pain but it's also been really nice...if that makes sense. I've decided that the theme for my new room is red/white/black with accents of a lime green...should be fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that purple and grey combo!!

I hope the move goes well. Hopefully I'll close my eyes and the movers will whisk everything away!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope so! I can't imagine trying to move my furniture with my little honda.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear there is more time to grow up!
ReplyDeleteWe are one in the same Krystal!
ReplyDeleteOh Lo, I can't even imagine a mortgage! Buying a house or condo {like my parents want me to do} seems so, I don't know, permadent!
ReplyDeletePopcorn for dinner sounds delish! Maybe I'll copy you tonight :)
ReplyDeleteIt's getting there! I've been skimming all of the sites/blogs you sent me! Lots of inspiration to go around!
ReplyDeleteI'm always afraid to wear thick belts for fear of looking, well, thick. You made it work though, and now I think I have to try it!
ReplyDeleteLove that belt and those pants and I feel ya about having to act like a grown up sometimes! Half the time I still act like I am 21:)
ReplyDeleteOh you should try it Erin! I love thicker belts.
