It's been quite the weekend {more on that in a moment}. But before you start thinking I donned a pencil skirt and heels outside of the office - let me just say this is from last week. Which feels light years away since it snowed last night. Yes it snowed. It also melted by noon. But regardless I was not a happy camper this morning when I woke up. As for the weekend it was filled with college basketball {with a side of practice test taking}. SPORTS DISCLAIMER: The text below is some proud rambling regarding UK basketball. Please feel free to pass GO and collect $200.
After 2 sensational victories, my college alma mater is headed to the Final Four. I may have moved across the river to Ohio, but I am a Kentucky girl at heart. Speaking of my heart, it was pretty much beating out of my chest all weekend. Not only did Kentucky beat Ohio State but also that team-with-the-not-quite-as-pretty-blue, North Carolina. With the Final Four and Reds Opening Day later this week, I can't promise this will be the last sports post.
/End sports rant.
So what did you guys do this weekend?
I had a snow day on Friday. The snow did not melt by the next day. It is still crowding my driveway. And still squalling today. Hating weather right now!
ReplyDeleteLoving that floral top. I think I'm becoming obsessed with florals because I'm so afraid spring is never going to come. Never. It's a possibility here, you know. *sigh*

We still have snow too, and it is soooooo cold. I spent the entire weekend in my middle school's theater working on the school musical.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so cute a springy. I wish I could wear bare arms and legs anytime soon.
really cute outfit. Adore the blouse and of course those shoes! My fav's!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a student at Ohio State and a proud Bucks fan, so I had to just pass over that section! haha my Friday night was rather depressing after that awful loss. Cute outfit though; I think I just bought that exact same belt!
ReplyDeleteI had Ohio State winning it all, but I'm really happy for you! I still beat Eric in our contest so I'm not bitter :)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, by the way. I'm jealous of your bare legs and short sleeves. And your tan...
Adorable outfit, I love the print of the shirt.

Very cute flower shirt, and congrats to Kentucky! I must admit, I was rooting for UNC, but at least the games were close!

The shirt is so so cute!! I'm horrible at sports (besides European football) and I'm afraid I understood nothing! You can still give me the $200 right? Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI love that blouse paired with the pencil skirt!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend went by way too fast and now I'm trying to think if I did anything productive. Oh Monday how I hate thee!

SO happy for you and UK- although I admit I was cheering for UNC, because I have abandonment issues with Mr. Calipari... BUT I stick with the South whenever I can! I'm all for sports posts!! :)

It snowed last week in Manhattan, and I was like forget it! no outfit pics! As for March Madness, my team (BYU) got knocked out in the Sweet 16, but I am loving how crazy this year is! No 1 or 2 seeds in the Final Four! Love it!

WAY cute office look. I have been looking for the perfect pair of nudes pumps like these. Endless possibilities.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, love the floral blouse, pop of pink and of course I'm a big fan of pencil skirts. Great look!
ReplyDeletePretty blouse! And congrats to you Kentucky girl!! It is so exciting to see lower ranked teams in the Final Four this year! Makes it more interesting.

We had a blogger meet-up on Saturday and the only time I don't think anyone could relate to me is when I said my bracket was busted.
ReplyDeleteWoo! How exciting! I don't know that my alma mater will ever make me that proud, especially if they can't win games with Jimmer on their team. Oh well. I love love your top. It's darling!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that blouse. So cute!

Woohoo! I had UK winning in my bracket, too. Unfortunately this is as far as they get for me. :) I'm so jealous you have a college team to cheer on (neither my college or grad school had any decent sports teams to speak of).
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and I LOVE this outfit! I love how your florals are not too girly--that's what usually scares me away from them, but your blouse is perfect.
You look so amazing here! I love that skirt and the... well I love everything. On the sports subject, congrats to your team! Pretty much all of Indiana is rooting for Butler, so I'm a part of that now! Go Dawgs! :)

I don't think I could survive an actual snow fall. Thursday is the opening day of the baseball season {sports rant :)} and I'm so bummed that I have to wear coat. Grr.
ReplyDeleteBare legs and arms only lasted 2 days. I'm back in tights, scarfs and lots of layers. Such a bummer after the few nice days. Spring where are you?
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought you were at OU! Sorry that my Cats ended your season, but I hear Sullinger is coming back.
ReplyDeleteKelsey - I had OSU wining it all too. Probably why UK won. They knew play how I think they will. In this case, I was happy to be wrong.
ReplyDeleteThanks Meredith! Now that UNC is out, maybe you'll cheer for UK against Connecticut?
ReplyDelete$200 virtual dollars headed right your way ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma!
ReplyDelete3 cheers for the south! Maybe that means you'll root for UK vs. Connecticut? Please? :)
ReplyDeleteThese Macys {alfani brand} are fantastic! Not to high and pleasantly comfortable.
ReplyDeleteOh my bracket is busted! I had OSU winning it all. Glad my cats pulled it though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Angeline! I'm actually going back to campus to watch the game on Saturday - should be a great time. It's a good time to be UK fan :)
ReplyDeleteLove that top!! Go Cats!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit! You always manage to add such variety to you business casual outfits, I love that.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, it's very springy... hopefully the snow is done this week!
