{Dress: Thrifted, Cardigan: Martin & Osa, Belt: Limited, Necklace: Lia Sophia, Tights: Gap, Boots: Steve Madden}
As you probably know, it's May. And as you can probably tell, I'm in tights and boots. Your eyes are not deceiving you, it's just cold in Ohio. So cold that this morning I used my hair dryer as a heater for a good ten minutes. Even my steaming cup of coffee wasn't hot enough. So I decided the answer involved colored lycra and a cozy cardigan. I'll show that below 45 degree temperature who's the boss. If I don't, at least I got to type who's the boss. I always wanted to make a Tony Danza reference on the blog. Crossing that off the bucket list.
Love this outfit, especially the dress. I hope it gets warmer over there soon. Autumn is just starting here, and I'm not liking the cold!
ReplyDeleteIt's like that here in NY too. I was just planning on throwing on jeans and being cranky, but you just reminded me of those things called tights. I may have to break them back out today!
ReplyDeletethese photos are some of your prettiest! I mean.. you're aaaaalways pretty... just the scenery is more beautiful. I wish trees had pink and white flowers all year long!
ReplyDeleteWell, it may be cold in Ohio, but it's even colder in MN. We don't even have buds on the trees yet, much less flowers. Which means the continuous wearing of sweaters, jackets, tights, boots... Sigh.
ReplyDeletehaha! love the tony danza reference :)
ReplyDeleteOk well now I have a new goal for my blog, work Who's the Boss reference seamlessly in there somehow. Did you see the Community episode recently?? It was fantastic. I looooove me some Tony Danza references. Now I'll have the song in my head all day, or at least when I go around a bend.
ReplyDeleteAlso you look cute.
Great pictures!! You are very sweet :))

Boo for this dress being thrifted. I was hoping to copy you. It's such a perfect cut and pattern. Lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteBlerg. I've been a bit annoyed with the weather around here - it's supposed to be warmer than my old Michigan home! Very cute dress - where do you go thrifting?! Clearly I have not discovered the good place yet...
ReplyDeleteAny opportunity to reference Tony Danza must be taken, or else you've broken some divine rule of 80's awesomness. I'm glad to see you didn't fail us all. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also annoyed at the cold- Chicago is still chilly- but you look so cute that it almost doesn't matter. The florals make it seems springy and the boots are just perfect with the whole look.
AAAAAHHHHH! The weather! I hear ya there. Though it has been surprisingly cooperative this week in Colorado so far. I am sans tights today. Yep. But, that doesn't mean it can't snow tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteKudos on the Tony Danza ref. Us 90's/80's kids are having a mini celebration in our heads I'm sure.
And the locales lately for the photos have been AMAZING. You coulda fooled us. It looks like a beautiful spring day where you are.
These pictures are so springy even if it is cold there! And this little dress you have on is such a gem. I may or may not be drooling.

Liz you look so cute! The boots tie the whole thing together in my opinion. LOVE. Followed your blog BTW, stop by Alee's Perspective sometime & say whats up.
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold in Louisiana too! I wanted to pull out my boots again (I didn't), but I DID wear a sweater. So strange in May! Oh, and I really like how there are flowers in the tree behind you and on your dress. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it a bad sign that I'm already looking at tights and thinking, "wow, I wish it wasn't so hot here so I could wear tights"? Gonna be a long summer...
ReplyDeleteAdore the floral print on you, especially with the boyfriend sweater!
very cute & comfy outfit! i love the boots. it was chilly in maryland today as well.

Ah, your weather is so crazy! I thought we had it bad in Oregon, but it's just cool and rainy. But not THAT cold. But you're still at least a little bit spring timey with your pretty floral dress. I love the color of that cardigan :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather up here in WA is the same! Only a few days of sunshine, but I'm still stuck in my boots and tights. Makes me so jealous seeing those Texas girls wearing their sleeveless dresses! :(
ReplyDeleteI love all the new locations you've been finding! :)
lovely post and i love your outfit you put together! make sure to check out what i wear for wardrobe wednesday! xoxo

you look adorable! This dress is to die for! And it's thrifted. I would love to make such a great find at my local thrifting places!!! You know what, even with more degrees, I still feel more comfortable with some tights! I am such a clumsy person and got all thos bruises close to my knees. Tights are perfect for hiding those!! Loving the side ponytail as well!
ReplyDeleteaaaaaw, thanks Krystal!
ReplyDeleteOh that is a major sigh! Hoping for some warmer temps for the both of us :)
ReplyDeleteI must have missed that Community ep bummer....Although I am dying to see Josh Holloway's cameo {hope I haven't missed that too}. I need some Community College Sawyer in my life.
ReplyDeleteYeah, major fail. But hey thanks for making me feel better about the cold temperature ;)
ReplyDeleteI tried to figure out from the tag where it's from...no luck. Maybe you'll find your own lovely thrifted floral dress soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimmie! Luckily today the sun is out...hope it's the same in WA.
ReplyDeleteOh! I love this dress! The photos are amazing too - floral in front of floral!! You look awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet outfit! You still manage to look spring-like while wearing tights!
ReplyDeletelove your side pony tail, floral dress and booties! seriously adorable outfit.
