Ever have one of those days when you love an outfit, but then by the afternoon it turns kinda blah? No just me. Either way, I'm taking the opportunity to discuss the issue at hand. I should have known this outfit was hopeless when I had to take over a hundo photos to get the lighting right. Turns out a bright and sunny morning equals me all shadowy and ish. Yes, I just said ish. By lunch the outfit stretched out, normally this would be a benefit in disguise if I had a large lunch, but today it made me feel frumpy. It's probably not a coincidence that frumpy and grumpy rhyme. Just saying.
I like the frumpy/grumpy connection - it is true really isn't it :)

I hate when an outfit stretches out! Unless it was just a little too tight, then it's ok! But, otherwise, not ok! You look great, though!
ReplyDeletelove how you labeled this post as "the blah feeling" haha. I really like this outfit but I know what you mean about it streching out and stuff. not fun!

I really love the skirt. And thats the beauty of blogging that I love. The sheer honesty of it all. You still look wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteaw, I think you look great! I love the shiny gold in the top and the skirt. I know what you mean about stretch though. There's nothing more annoying than a perfect fitting pair of pants that stretches out and hangs all loosey goosey after a few hours of wear!
ReplyDeleteI have done that a million times where I think something looks fantastic, and then I hate it by the afternoon. Do you think that is worse than just hating it from the start? I think we're just experimenting, so the flip flop is just part of the process!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think that skirt is amazing. You should give it much love!

Sometimes that happens to me too! Or I think that my outfit looks great and halfway through realize it's really unflattering or something! This look is really cute though Liz! And can I just say how much I've loved seeing your blog evolve? I remember the photos you took with your phone!!

not frumpy at all i think this looks great!!!! i always love when you wear those shoes--your legs look miles long.
ReplyDeleteYou are FAR from frumpy looking and that skirt + your cuff = masterful. Morning sunshine makes for crappy pictures in my life, but you look magical, Liz!!!

I hate when that happens! I totally prefer gray mornings for outfit photos! (or waking up earlier, but I'm not actually sure I can do that)
ReplyDeleteI actually think you look great! Sorry you felt blah!
I totally love this outfit, particularly the skirt!!
ReplyDeleteha! love it...frumpiness makes me grumpy too.
ReplyDeleteLove this on you Liz! How cute is that skirt!
ReplyDeleteLove this on you Liz! How cute is that skirt!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Some days the outfit just doesn't work. But I think you look quite put together :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, I have some pants like that...drives me absolutely nuts! They look so cute in the morning and by lunch are super stretched out. That skirt is really cute, so it's too bad that it doesn't fit right!
ReplyDeleteHahah - I had to laugh out loud at your post! But even if you felt frumpy, I LOVE this look! So classy and fun. You look gorgeous!
