I'd like to dedicate this post to my black skirt. It was a fate-filled day when we met three years ago. I was just a girl starting a new job, trying desperately to figure out what the heck to wear to work. It was just a skirt begging to be saved from the sale rack. We've had some good times skirt and I. We've been remix partners for years. Making office appropriate outfits out of nearly all the tops in my closet. We've dabble in Parisian looks. Floral ensembles. Jewel toned looks. It's been a good run, but I'm realizing this skirt and I are seeing the last of days together. The crisp black is fading. Hems are coming undone. And zippers are nearly broke. Sure maybe all of this could be fixed. Maybe its time for retirement. Either way it's been a great friendship. Here's to you skirt!
ADORABLE skirt! I love all the ways you've remixed it.
ReplyDeleteAh, the black skirt, how could we live without you. I recently lost a lot of weight, and now my favourite black skirt is too big :( And I am having the hardest time replacing it (I'm a bit picky) I like the gathering on the front here, it's cute.
ReplyDeleteHere here! A black skirt with pockets? You have found a gem here my dear.
ReplyDeleteI can't find a black skirt I actually like. This one looks pretty great, with it's pockets and all. Love all of the looks with it! Good luck in finding a replacement!

This skirt really is fabulous. It's a sad day when a main ensemble option is wearing thin.

I hate it when I realize an item of clothing I love is nearing the end.
ReplyDeleteYou and your skirt have had a long relationship, I'm sure even if you have to retire it it knows you love it. Plus, it's lived a long and full life my clothing never lasts that long. P.s. Love that top.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I hate it when one of your favorite pieces of clothing doesn't look as good as it used to. I've been holding on to a white skirt I've had for 5 years, pretty sure it's a shade of grey by now.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely darling in that black skirt!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of you (with your hands in your pockets) looks really good. Your pose looks natural and comfortable. I really like your top, and I can see what that skirt is a favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rin!
