Thanks for the kind words yesterday. It seems like I'm not the only one with the winter blues. I mean, hello, it's March! What's up with having to wear this many layers? I feel so bogged down with clothes over clothes over clothes that I'm just not feeling it. Nothing against this outfit {hello, I love this yellow skirt} but I'm just not crazy about it. I want my ankle pants, dresses and open toes shoes. Not freezing temperatures and bitter wind. Mr. Weatherman can you hear me? It's Liz and I'm angry at you. And today of all days - Opening Day - the high here is 40? You have got to be kidding me. Speaking of Opening Day, I'll be cheering on the Reds despite this unacceptable "spring" weather {and no this isn't my outfit for the game, it's from earlier this week ok?!}.
Because I don't want to end this on less than positive note. Let me just tell you that in my spring longing yesterday, I scurried over to the LOFT and picked up some adorable spring items. And guess what apparently according to LOFT standards it's already time for a spring sale! Imagine that - spring items on sale when it's barely above freezing. Oh well, 40% off sale items is one thing I will not complain about. EVER!

Love the color combos!! I have a major soft spot in my heart for Loft! I have a few cute spring dresses from there calling my name in my closet....stupid weather!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel - i'm even wearing those same boots today for fear of a noreaster -- why can't it just be spring already?
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! The one thing I don't miss about Cincinnati is the winter weather. It was always the WORST when spring weather would hit and then a week later it would snow. Hopefully it warms up soon!!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see that floral skirt on you. I tried it on a while back, but it just wasn't right on me.
ReplyDeleteI need to go to Loft. Now. Cute picks!
ReplyDeleteOkay I know what you mean about being sick of the cold weather but I really do love all these pieces together. It's like a wintry version of a spring palette with the richer greens and yellows.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been coveting that Loft skirt for awhile now...can't wait to see how you style it!
Oh I hear ya, it's supposed to rain and maybe SNOW for our Opening Day - boo!
ReplyDeleteThis may be a sad thing to hear but I've actually never stepped foot in the loft. I plan to on my trip to the mall of america on saturday. Hopefully the sale will still be there!
ReplyDeleteEven though you're not feeling it, this outfit is still super cute! And, your hair, like always, is perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you're saying. I wore a spring dress yesterday with no tights *gasp* b/c the Weathermen said it would be warm - but no - they're dirty liars and it was so cold. Now they're calling for snow. They're evil. BTW, cute outfit and love the stuff you bought at LOFT. :)
ReplyDeleteadorable! It snowed yesterday ALL afternoon!

How about that Reds game?! Can you believe it? Can't believe I left early. Stupid weather.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Lyddie! Come out, come out where ever you are spring!
ReplyDeleteI need to get it taken in, but for $20 I'm willing to take it to the tailor. Stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteThanks Monk! Stayed tuned for the skirt, I've got a couple ideas already brewing.
ReplyDeleteReally? I LOVE the LOFT...one of my favorite stores.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine! It didn't snow - but gosh it felt freezing!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm finally catching up on my favorite blogs, and I guess I'm not the only one in a prolonged winter funk after all. I've been completely uninspired, and I figured I'd just stay off the internet because I didn't want to be all moody and boring. This weather is AWFUL, and I feel like a few warm sunny days is all I need to get motivated again...
ReplyDeleteI love the sneak peak of your LOFT items! I've got a gift card -- maybe I should drag my lazy butt over there and see if a little shopping will get me back on track. =)
I am definitely feeling the cold weather funk too. I absolutely love the color of this dress, its rather obscure, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit, you're darling and you won me over with your name.
