I'm winding down my last week at my current job. Which is totally weird to write out, btw.
This job has been a crazy part of my life the last 5 years. There has been new opportunities, spur of the moment business trips, and a slew of other oddities that I doubt I will never encounter in a any other job. To a large extent, this blog developed out my struggle to find my own personal style in a traditional business setting. Slowly, but surely I was able to bring a bit of flare and personality into my outfits. Sure I received a lot of odd comments or strange looks along the way, but now I am just the girl who loves bright colors and patterns.

My co-workers asked me today if they think I'll start dressing more casual, and honestly I am not sure I will. While I am definitely looking forward to a more casual work environment, I am not sure things will change much. Sure I am going through my own style transition, but I just can't see myself giving up all my blazers, skirts, and such.

So stay tuned, who knows what's in store for this girl's next 9-5 job!

Keeping with the simple trend today, although I couldn't resist a little bit of animal print. It's a weakness really. That and The Bachelorette. Apparently I can't resist a drama filled reality TV show filled with shirtless guys. So if you ever need the recipe for how to win me over, just remember a little animal print and trashy TV are a great way to this girl's heart. Oh and wine too. Always wine!

I love those morning when you just know what you want to wear that day {and the outfit actually looks as good on, as it did in your head}! But more and more those days are few and far between. The last couple of months have been a bit of whirlwind between school and starting a new job in the next few weeks {more to come on that later}, and putting together new outfits hasn't been a priority.

As my life has gotten more hectic the past few months, my style started to change. After years of loving to mix and match prints, lately I've been gravitating towards something a bit more simple. And today's outfit is a perfect example of that. Sure I am still rocking my printed pants, and I love a good animal print as much as the next girl, but there's something to be said about something simple and classic. Maybe it's reflection of all of the craziness of my recent job transition. Or maybe it's just my style evolving. Either way, I am enjoying the new direction my life and style is headed.

So if you've been curious as to why posting as slowed down a bit , it's because I've been rocking a lot of outfit repeats. Sometimes it's just easier to go with an old standby then stand in front of your closet racking your brain for something different. And as for the job, I'll be making the switch in coming weeks! I'll still be here in Cincinnati and still with the same company, but I'll finally be putting all that schoolwork to good use!

With summer {and the summer heat that comes with it}, I tend to lean towards wearing dresses. Since picking up this lovely on sale a few weeks back, I've been wearing it non-stop. Nothing's better than pretty dress that's perfect by itself or with an accessory or two {okay, or three}. Although, sadly until today there's been no blog proof. Sometimes if an outfit hasn't been blogged, it's almost like it didn't exist. Thankfully, we have instagram. Or if you're my non-blogging friend, regrettably there's instagram.

Can't stop wearing this madewell dress!Loving my new JCrew factory necklace! Although not sure how I feel about wearing florida gator colors ;)No tights hooray!
