If you haven't noticed, I have quite the obsession with printed {see here and here} Ann Taylor pants.
And true to my obsessed form, I couldn't resist a sale price and extra discount when I saw these lovelies on the sale rack. Did I mention I also have a sister who is quite encouraging?

Either way, these pants now call my {teeny-tiny} closet home.

It's officially blazer weather here in Cincinnati! Although I'm not fully convinced this weather is here to stay quite yet. Or rather, the iPhone weather app hasn't convinced me yet. Speaking of Cincinnati, it was a big weekend here. The Reds clinch the division championship, Oktoberfest was in full swing and one of my best friend's celebrated a birthday.

Now if only I had another weekend to recover from my weekend I'd be all set!

I think when I look back at my style in 2012 {geez, where has the year gone?}, I think it would be fair to say this year has been a year of patterns. No, not routines {although I do love me some schedules}, I mean patterns of the polka dot, stripe, and animal print kind. Although I already have a pair of polka dot pants, I couldn't resist these when I spotted them at Old Navy on super sale. I took the sale to mean Old Navy was giving me the green light to double up my polka dot pant collection.

If sales aren't really secret shopping signals, than I'd rather be left in the dark. In the dark, with my 2 pairs of polka dot pants that is.

With school in full swing, outfit photos are become more of a weekly thing rather than a daily thing. Apologies. Maybe I'm just getting old, but school is kind of exhausting. I sure don't remember college feeling like this....

But then again I was sleeping in until 10am everyday.
Man those were the days.

As a fanatic of polka dots, I knew this dress was bound to find a home in my closet after I saw it on the Limited's website. While the material is light enough for summer, it will also be great with tights and a blazer. Clearly, when you're as obsessed as I am, you need your dots to get you through more than just one season.

Hair Care

Full disclosure: As I'm writing this, I have not washed my hair since Saturday. I'm rocking a fierce {i.e. greasy} ponytail. While I sometimes choose sleep over clean hair, I do love me some hair products. The below are a few of my favorites.

Good hair days are on par with good outfits for me. I could be wearing my favorite outfit, but if my hair is crummy it just isn't the same. And vice versa, a tee shirt and jeans are that much better on a good hair day. So today I'm bringing you a few my favorite products. I do like to switch things up every now and again, but these guys have a permanent spot in my overflowing cabinet of hair products.

Shampoo & Conditioner:
Since I have a Brazilian Blowout, I use a sulfate free shampoo. This Bumble & Bumble shampoo is the perfect mix of smell and suds.

Speaking of Brazilian Blowouts, I get them because my hair in its natural state is an unruly mess. This Redken conditioner has been a go-to product since I was 18. If you have thinner hair, this is great as a treatment. If your hair is like mine, it's great to use every time you wash your hair.

It's a 10 Miracle Leave In w/ Keratin. Simply put, it is a miracle. My hair needs a detangler and the added keratin makes it even better.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser Oil - this is a new product in my daily routine. My hairdresser used it during my last appointment and I have been hooked ever since. Although I have thick hair, I don't like to use anything that makes my hair feel greasy. This oil is the best I have tried.

A round bush is a crucial part of my styling. It's also a good arm workout ;)

Flat Iron - no lies, I'm a complete slave to my flat iron. We're besties.

This is probably the area, I experiment the most with. Herbal Essences hairspray has been a go to of mine for a while. I like the smell and it doesn't hurt my wallet.

Dry Shampoo - For today's like today when sleep > washing my hair. Ojon was the first brand I tried about 6 years ago. I've tried a lot of others out there, but as brunette this my favorite.

What are some of your favorite hair products?

I played hooky {and by hooky I mean took scheduled PTO} from work yesterday. And it was pretty much the best decision ever. A 4-day holiday weekend is better than a 3-day holiday weekend, am I right? Granted there was a fair share of homework and studying in that weekend, but it wasn't with out a bit of fun and relaxing too. Now it's time to dig myself out of the post holiday inbox abyss. See you on the other side...
