Less learned, 3pm is not the best time for photos. But glare aside, I'm not going to protest sunlight....too much. Plus,I really like this outfit. Buttoned-up tops are notoriously difficult for me to pull off, but this Madewell gem is pretty perfect. It has a tie front, which is why I think it actually fits me well.

Getting ready for some re-mixin' new top. And high-risers meet your new best friend.

The Limited Exact Stretch Pant has been my go-to work pant for YEARS. They are well documented across the blog and the collection I have amassed since 2010 is, ahem, nearing embarrassment. But I'm here to report that the new Banana Republic pants are pretty fantastic. I picked up the Avery style in black and quickly went back to pick them up in this blue color. They're a bit dressier than my Limited pants, almost a suiting quality to the fabric, but they are SO comfortable. Perfect when I need something a bit dressier.

What's your go-to work pant?

Spring Friendly

Top: Madewell • Jeans: Madewell Vest:  Anthro • Necklace: Stella & Dot • Bag: Stella & Dot

This weekend was what weekend dreams are made of. Fantastic weather, no obligations, and time spent with friends and family. This vest has a faux fur piece, but with temps in the 70, I ditched it for a more spring friendly statement. It paired perfectly with my new Madewell tee and added just the right bit of warmth while in the shade.

How was your weekend?

March Madness is one of my absolute favorite times of the year! I'm a tomboy at heart and grew playing all the sports, but I'm basketball girl at heart. Elementary school was littered with days when I wore my UC sweatshirt on repeat. When I outgrew it, I took my favorite piece of clothing and turned into a place for autographs.Yep, I was that girl standing in line for autographs.

Being a UC fan is in my roots. I'm a UK grad, I bleed blue, but something about UC basketball is nostalgic. I grew up going to games with my dad, we still do, it's our thing {along with horse racing but that's a topic for another blog post}. I remember when the Jordan uniforms where announced, the midnight madness when Dicky V went nuts over the student hitting the half court shot, and I'm still not over Kenyon Martin's knee injury. And now, at 30-something years old, I may even have a line about my all-time favorite UC player on my tinder profile....

So when I first heard of Homage, an Ohio based company, a few years ago and saw their eclectic sports clothing I was hooked. I may have out grown my 90s hoodie, but I've found a brand that fits my love of sports and fashion to a tee, literally.

I can't speak more highly of this brand, except to say I've amassed quite the collection.
With Homage around, I'll never struggle to dress for a sporting event. And my inner 5th grader who still wants a good hoodie? Homage has me covered there too.

Be sure to stop by fellow Thread Cincinnati ladies, Olivia and Katie, to see how they styled their Homage pieces.

Strong Suit

BlazerAnn Taylor • Top: Ann Taylor • Pants: Ann Taylor Necklace: Stella & Dot • Shoes: JCrew Factory

I've talked about the spring suit before, and this my 2016 version. I'm obsessed with this color palette and can't wait to remix these pants with other neutrals in my closet. Not only will these pieces mix and match with my closet staples, but I can't wait to change up the looks with different accessories.

I couldn't resist adding my all-time favorite necklace to finish off this look, but I think adding animal print scarf or long chain would be just as fun and fresh.

Don't let the blooming flowers fool you, it's still a bit chilly here in Ohio.
But I am okay with that, for the time being.

And the time being is this sweatery perfection of a vest.
Was it really practical to buy another vest? A sweater vest at that?
In March? No, it wasn't.

But with a gift card burning a whole in my wallet, a birthday coupon about to expire, and my constant trying on {the Anthro girls know me now} it was a purchase I can live with.

While we might not have much time together, I'll make the most of it until fall.
Until, then it's time to start remixing this baby!

I love a good Flashback Friday, so let's take a trip down the March Memory lane shall we?

Dressed Up Chambray - March 2015
This is one of my favorite outfits from last year. And it's one I gravitate towards when I am struggling with what to wear in the morning. The silk printed top is unique and paired with chambray and navy I think it's a perfect spring/summer suit.

Oh Hello There - March 2014
2/26/14 5
There are some tried and true favorites with this look. While my animal print heels still need replacing, I love and get a ton of wear out of my maroon ankle pants and H&M mixed leather blazer. I may need to re-create this look again soon!

3/8/13 4
I rarely wear pencil skirts anymore, in fact I've sold most of my collection on Poshmark, but this yellow pencil is piece I just can't part with. It's classic and the mustard color is so vibrant. I know I'll continue wear it, but for the time being it's sparingly.

What's your favorite look of the 3? Share in the comments.

Wednesday Wants - Spring Edition

Between traveling to Texas for work last week and a rainy past weekend here in Ohio, I am behind on outfit photos. But the rain did make for a good excuse to hit the mall and freshen my closet for spring.

With a few gift cards in hand and a variety of Friends & Family deals going on I picked up a few new essential spring items to spruce up my wardrobe. With neutrals being my jam lately, I stuck to my go to color palette of late -- navy, army green, and off white. I was pleasantly surprised to find an army green dress pant at Ann Taylor and the majority of the other pieces coordinate really well.

I can't wait to style these new pieces and share the final looks with you here.
Happy Wednesday!

Flash sale March 2016

My absolute favorite has to be the Sawyer Tote. I love our bags in general, but this is one of my favorites. Vegan leather with a pretty perf detail, plus the gorgeous pink lining is pretty adorable too!
