My decision to to wear a sweater and pants on the first day of summer probably wasn't by best idea. But hey, at least I wore a bright summery color, right? Actually, I started packing for my trip Vegas and I suppose packing all of my fun summery clothes paved the way to wearing this outfit. Nothing against this sweater or pants, it's my fault pairing you two together on one of the muggiest days of the year. If you're not from here, Ohio may not register on your radar {cause we all have weather radar, right?} as a humidity magnet. We're not Texas or Louisiana, but humidity loves to hover over the Ohio River Valley for a good 3 three months. I suppose that means I only have another 100 or so days of sweat dripping, hair frizzing, sun burning weather. But who's counting?
I feel your pain! NJ is nasty muggy allllllll summer! I stopped bothering to blow out my hair about 2 weeks ago lol!
ReplyDeleteOh the humidity!!! I wore a blazer yesterday AND decided it was a good idea to walk to Mr. Sushi for lunch....gross.
ReplyDeleteI love this color on you. Very bright and summery. You are going to have a BLAST in Vegas! I'm so jealous!
I'm right over the Ohio line in Indiana (For now- getting ready to move to the Buckeye State!) so I'm right there with you! Yesterday was horrid! I spend all day in a freeeezzing office to walk out and be smothered by humidity.
ReplyDeleteI love summer, but only if I can spend it by the pool or on the lake!

ReplyDeleteI did that myself yesterday! It was 90+ degrees here in California and I wore a black seater, taken it was 3/4 sleeve and I wore it with a skirt, but I was still hot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful backdrop you got there.

I think you look bright and summery (even though you may have been burning up). The background is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! Sweating but summery, just what I was going for :)
ReplyDeleteIt's getting bright so early these days that I feel like I'm wearing my sunnies constantly. But hey at least their cute, right?!
ReplyDeleteLook at you being the optimist Monk! I like it!

ReplyDeleteyay for the bright summer-y color indeed ;) i hope you aren't sweating away.
ReplyDeletei hope the trip goes well!
You are too cute -- and your outfits are so inspirational! I'm a new reader to your blog (well, a new reader to fashion blogs in general). Teal is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteAt least you look cute--that scarf is adorable! I can't imagine the humidity though, I'm so spoiled living in such a dry (although still very hot) climate.
ReplyDeleteYou do such a great job with your scarves! I have so many but have yet to mastered styling them, I suppose I'll just have to use your scarf days as my inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf. It works really well with the color of the sweater. I can relate to the humid weather. I spend all winter wishing for summer and then the humidity hits and I wonder why, LOL.
