{Top: Target, Skirt: J Crew, Scarf & Tights: Gap, Belt: Limited Boots: Steve Madden}
I could tell a little white lie and say this look is the result of pure 30 for 30 magic, but I can't do that to you guys. If you're a J Crew cataglog fanatic like myself, you'll likely be able to recall this ensemble's better half {if not, said better half is below for your viewing pleasure}.

I was starting to get a bit worried that with the rising temperatures, this outfit wouldn't see the light of the day. But the weather gods blessed with my almost freezing temperatures and I almost jumped with joy {okay, I shivered with joy}! Now will some put a call into Jenna Lyons and pass along my gratitude for styling such an adorable outfit?
Adorable. I love the scarf especially. I love wearing pencil skirts but I always find they gape and ride up right at the waist. Maybe I'll have to try one out from J. Crew and see if it's any better. Any excuse to shop there is a good one!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on this look! Its never too warm for me this time of year!

Plagiarizing J.Crew is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteHow do you make denim look so fabulous? too cute!

Shivering with joy, HA you crack me up. Yes I do remember that outfit and I love your take with the caramel boots!
ReplyDeleteyou look fab - jcrew has such awesome inspiration! I do love that skirt!
ReplyDeleteNice recreation of an adorable look, L! I love it. I want it. :)
ReplyDeleteIf that outfit weren't so fantastic, I'd be SO mad at for bringing on the cold weather!

I have been searching for that skirt on ebay for months now. Kind of sad that I didn't purchase it full-price-- I hate pining after clothing that is no longer acquireable. Love this page out of their lookbook- perfect parts nice and casual.
ReplyDeleteLiz! Spot on! That looks great! I'm super impressed with how well it translated from catalog to life for you.
ReplyDeleteI steal looks from catalogs, mannequins, and the interwebs all the time. You look cute, and that's what counts!

I love this outfit, and it looks perfectly J. Crew. I love love that mustard skirt, and I've been on the hunt for once since I've seen it on your blog. Love the cozy scarf too.
ReplyDeleteYou REALLY nailed the execution of this look, in fact, I think I like your interpretation better. So, you're channeling J Crew, and I'm channeling YOU and your look from yesterday. Thanks for your ideas and inspiration!
ReplyDeleteah, yes, we do have to get one last good wear out of these items that aren't really fitting for spring/summer. i don't know about you, but spring is pretty much here in AL - so the cords (and looks like the wool) needed one last appearance! Although, I followed that link of yours to the J Crew website, and I am really liking the light grey version of this skirt...
ReplyDeleteAnd you pulled off the Jcrew catalog look perfectly! :)
ReplyDeletefricken sassy outfit
ReplyDeleteLove your recreation!
ReplyDeleteI was totally inspired by the same JCrew model. Thank you again JCrew!
ReplyDeletelooking good there! Also your picture would fit well into the lookbook. Theirs would be even nicer with a nice surrounding :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I love your personal spin on the catalog look.
ReplyDeleteIs it sad that I thought you look totally jcrew today? you totally fit in with their catalog!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed this look, love it! I've been lusting over this skirt for ages too... hopefully some birthday money will help me get it ;)
ReplyDeleteSkirts fit me very strangely...I've had the best luck with the ones from j crew though. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI mean how can you go wrong you know?
ReplyDeleteOh Christine you would be just as fabulous in denim too! It's easy!
ReplyDeleteNow that I got this outfit out of the way, I've hinted to the weather gods to bring back the warmer weather! Cross your fingers!
ReplyDeleteI think this skirt is still on the website. Some colors are gone, but I think there are still a few options {and at a sale price!}.
ReplyDeleteThanks Erin!
ReplyDeleteOh I'll take that compliment! Thanks Rachael :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not sad at all! Totally what I was going for Megan!
ReplyDeleteI love how you put that together, Liz! I think I even like your look more than the J.Crew inspiration because I like the color of your chambray much better with that skirt. Altogether completely lovely!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I added you to my blog roll today ;) Blog Love
